One battery for everything
The central idea behind Power X-Change is simple: instead of producing separate batteries and chargers for every tool class, Einhell relies on a universal 18 V battery platform. The PXC battery (2.0–8.0 Ah) fits the cordless impact drill just as well as the lawn mower, leaf blower, wet/dry vacuum, chainsaw, coffee machine or window cleaner.
This saves money (one battery is enough), space and resources – and you can buy new tools at any time without changing your battery system. The platform is designed so that you can expand it for life.
How 36 V Twin-Pack technology works
If a tool needs more power, two 18 V batteries are combined – 18 V + 18 V = 36 V (Twin-Pack). This produces up to 2700 W of continuous power (a single PXC battery delivers up to 1350 W). Typical 36 V tools: lawn mowers, chainsaws, leaf blowers, garden pumps, compressors, angle grinders and sanders.
There are also tools with automatic runtime doubling: they run on two batteries but use only one at a time, switching seamlessly to the second – doubling the runtime without interruption. Combined with Twin-Pack tools, up to four batteries can be in use (2× 36 V).

All batteries feature an active battery management system (ABS) with cell monitoring against overload, deep discharge and overheating.
