What is the HUTT W9?
The HUTT W9 is a corded window cleaning robot that clings to smooth panes with an automatically regulated suction power of up to 3,800 Pa. Four spray nozzles (two per side) wet the glass, and a 3-layer microfibre/nanofibre cleaning pad wipes it and lifts the moisture back off. The transparent panoramic water tank holds 150 ml – according to the manufacturer one fill is enough for up to 90 m² of window area. Navigation is handled by HUTT SLAM 4.0 with a zigzag path and return to the start point. The four-stage safety concept combines edge, obstacle and air pressure sensors (13 sensors in total) with a 650 mAh emergency battery (approx. 20–30 minutes) and a 6-metre safety rope. The W9 is controlled exclusively via the included remote – HUTT does not offer an app here, which sets it apart from app-controlled rivals.
HUTT positions the W9 as a corded window cleaning robot for entering automated window cleaning: during cleaning a cable supplies the unit with power, while the internal battery serves only as a backup for power interruptions. To set it apart: the HUTT DDC55 is the older, slimmer and usually cheaper model from the same brand – if you search for a HUTT window cleaning robot online, you\'ll often come across both models.
Also interesting: our review of the lubluelu CHYW201
Window cleaning robots also come without a power cable. In our second independent review we took a close look at the lubluelu CHYW201 – a battery-powered window cleaning robot with 6,500 Pa suction, ultrasonic spray nozzles and an emergency battery.
3,800 Pa Suction, a 4-Nozzle Spray System & HUTT SLAM Navigation
Here\'s how the HUTT W9 works on your window – from the spray system to suction and navigation.
4-Nozzle Spray System
Four spray nozzles (two per side) wet the glass, while a 3-layer microfibre/nanofibre cleaning pad wipes it and lifts dirt and moisture back off.
3,800 Pa Suction
HUTTHINK 3.0 automatically adjusts the suction to the surface – up to 3,800 Pa keep the W9 attached to smooth, sealed panes.
HUTT SLAM 4.0 Navigation
The navigation follows standard and zigzag paths and then returns to the start point – aiming for the most complete coverage of the pane possible.
Safety with 13 Sensors
4 edge, 8 obstacle and 1 air pressure sensor plus four-stage anti-fall protection, a 6 m safety rope (up to 100 kg) and a 650 mAh emergency battery are designed to prevent a fall.
Cleaning Performance, Features & Controls
Panoramic Tank and Cleaning Modes
The transparent panoramic water tank holds 150 ml – according to the manufacturer one fill is enough for up to 90 m² of window area. Four spray nozzles (two per side) wet the glass, while a 3-layer microfibre/nanofibre cleaning pad wipes it and lifts the moisture back off. Control is via the remote; the manufacturer mentions, among other things, an automatic zigzag path, but HUTT does not publish a complete list of all individual modes.
Controls: Remote Instead of an App
The W9 is controlled exclusively via the included remote – HUTT does not offer a smart-home app connection for this model. The manufacturer also mentions voice control, but that is not a smartphone app. If you expect app control, plan for that before buying: here the W9 falls behind rivals such as the MOVA N1, Ecovacs WINBOT W2 PRO OMNI or Dreame C1 Station.
Noise Level
The manufacturer states around 70 dB(A). That makes the W9 clearly audible in operation and one of the louder window cleaning robots on the market – something to factor in before buying, especially in apartment buildings.
Glass Compatibility
The robot is designed for smooth, sealed surfaces: frameless and framed glass, single, double and multiple glazing, mirrors as well as smooth tile and facade surfaces. It is not suitable for rough or textured surfaces.

The HUTT W9 is cheaper than the app models MOVA N1, Ecovacs WINBOT W2 PRO OMNI and Dreame C1 Station, but it does without an app connection and offers only moderate obstacle detection. If you need an app and better obstacle avoidance, go for the pricier models; if a remote, a large tank and solid safety equipment are enough, the W9 is the cheaper route.
Who Is the HUTT W9 For?
Households looking for a remote-controlled, affordable window cleaning robot for smooth windows with no app requirement, that have a socket near the window and can live with manually touching up the edges and corners.

FAQ About the HUTT W9
Our Verdict
For roughly €179 to €230 the HUTT W9 offers a lot of window cleaning robot for the money: 3,800 Pa of suction, a large 150 ml panoramic tank and a comprehensive safety package of 13 sensors, a 6 m rope and an emergency battery. Points are deducted for the corded operation (the battery is only a backup), the lack of app control and the only moderate obstacle detection reported in reviews. For smooth windows with a socket within reach and no need for an app, the W9 is a solid, affordable choice.
