2026 Review: MOVA P70 Pro Ultra
All-in-One Station & MaxiReach Edge Cleaning
Every verified fact about the MOVA P70 Pro Ultra – from suction power and the hot-water station to the navigation weaknesses reviewers criticise.
Summary for the impatient
The MOVA P70 Pro Ultra is an upper mid-range robot vacuum and mop: 30,000 Pa nominal suction power, two rotating mop pads with 12 N contact pressure and an all-in-one station that cleans the mops on a 100 °C PTC washboard and dries them with 70 °C hot air in around an hour.
- The hottest mop washing in its price class: a 100 °C PTC washboard with a 99.9999 % sterilisation rate verified by TÜV Rheinland
- Very strong suction performance on hard floors – it drops off noticeably on high-pile carpet according to hands-on tests
- MaxiReach: extendable side brush and a mop that extends by 4 cm, with 100 % coverage certified by TÜV SÜD
- RRP €699, real-world pricing from approx. €487 (Geizhals), €515 in the MOVA store, €549 on Amazon.de – available and in stock
- Two genuine weaknesses: the navigation visibly stumbles according to heise online, and the full anti-tangle system requires the separately sold CleanChop brush
MOVA P70 Pro Ultra
Robot vacuum and mop with 30,000 Pa suction power, two rotating mop pads (12 N, 260 rpm) and an all-in-one station that, according to the manufacturer, cleans the mops on a 100 °C PTC washboard and dries them with 70 °C hot air in around an hour.
€549.00Amazon.de price at the time of research – RRP, store and comparison prices are listed further down
Pros
- At 30,000 Pa nominal, one of the highest suction figures in the €500 price bracket
- 100 °C hot mop washing on the PTC washboard – a genuine differentiator at this price, since most rivals wash at 60–80 °C
- Mop drying with 70 °C hot air in around an hour, far quicker than models needing 2–4 hours
- The sterilisation rate of 99.9999 % against four types of germ was tested by TÜV Rheinland (report no. 704012511339-00) rather than measured in-house only
Cons
- The triple anti-tangle system only works with the CleanChop brush, which MOVA sells separately – a plain rubber brush is what comes in the box
- Independent tests criticise the navigation: missed patches while cleaning, unexplained pauses of up to 30 seconds, and self-drawn map boundaries being ignored
- According to reviews, obstacle avoidance is not always reliable despite correct detection, and the robot can get stuck under floating furniture
- Rotating mop pads smear faster than a self-rinsing mop roller when dealing with wet dirt and require frequent trips back to the station
What is the MOVA P70 Pro Ultra?
The MOVA P70 Pro Ultra is an upper mid-range robot vacuum and mop that launched on the German market in April 2026 with an RRP of €699 and now trades well below that. Its core argument is the combination of a very high nominal suction figure (30,000 Pa from a motor spinning at up to 120,000 rpm) and an all-in-one base station that handles automatic dust emptying, mop washing on a 100 °C PTC washboard and drying with 70 °C hot air. For the cleaning itself MOVA relies on two rotating mop pads at 260 rpm with 12 newtons of contact pressure rather than a mop roller. Navigation is handled by an LDS laser combined with an AI camera that recognises more than 280 object types according to the manufacturer. One point matters for context: MOVA is a sub-brand of Dreame, and the P70 Pro Ultra shares its headline specification with the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra – so the buying decision comes down to price and warranty handling rather than technology.
Suction power, mopping system & hot-water station
The four features MOVA uses to position the P70 Pro Ultra.
30,000 Pa from 120,000 rpm
According to MOVA the suction motor spins at up to 120,000 rpm and generates 30,000 Pa of vacuum – one of the highest nominal figures on the market. Both numbers come from the manufacturer's internal lab tests, not from a standardised measurement.
Two rotating mop pads
Instead of a mop roller, two removable pads work at 260 rpm with 12 newtons of contact pressure. The RoboSwing mechanism extends the right-hand mop by up to 4 cm to reach wall edges and areas under furniture.
100 °C PTC washboard
The JetSpray Dryboard sprays water onto the pads through 20 nozzles (10 per side) and scrubs them against a 100 °C PTC element. The 99.9999 % reduction in germs is verified by TÜV Rheinland – not merely a manufacturer claim.
All-in-one station
The station empties the dust bin into a 3.2 l bag, refills water and cleaning solution automatically, washes and dries the mops with 70 °C hot air and charges the robot – a complete maintenance cycle in around an hour.
How the P70 Pro Ultra works
Official manufacturer images of the four functions that shape everyday use the most.
Mop washing on the hot washboard
The pads are not merely rinsed but mechanically scrubbed against a heated washboard. A central filter catches the dislodged dirt so it does not stay behind in the wash basin.
Underside with twin mop pads
Clearly visible: the two mop plates, the main brush and the omni-wheel. The complete triple anti-tangle system, however, only takes effect with the separately available CleanChop brush.
AI detection for 280+ object types
The LDS laser and AI camera pick up cables, toys and pet accidents. Detection works well according to reviews – the avoidance manoeuvre that follows does not always.
MaxiReach at edges and corners
The side brush and mop extend along walls and into corners. TÜV SÜD has certified coverage of up to 100 % for this – one of the few externally verified figures in the specification sheet.
Edge cleaning, carpets & anti-tangle in detail
MaxiReach: extendable side brush and mop
The side brush swings out sideways for edge cleaning and can lift by 9 mm so that it stays out of the way while mopping. The mop pad extends by up to 4 cm via the RoboSwing mechanism to reach walls and get under low furniture. TÜV SÜD certification is available for the resulting coverage of up to 100 %. One criticism from the heise test remains, however: the extending side brush can also fling dirt out of the cleaning path instead of collecting it.
Ultrasonic carpet detection
An ultrasonic sensor detects carpets of different pile heights and textures. Depending on the setting the robot then boosts suction, lifts the mops by 10.5 mm, leaves them in the station entirely, or avoids the carpet altogether. For carpets with a pile height above 3 mm MOVA explicitly recommends enabling the intelligent carpet mode in the app so that such carpets do not get damp. In measurements by smarthomeassistent.de the machine scored 98.3 out of 100 points on hard floors, but only 68.71 out of 100 on high-pile carpet – so the high Pascal figure does not compensate for long pile.
Anti-tangle only at extra cost
MOVA advertises a triple anti-tangle system consisting of the CleanChop main brush, an anti-tangle side brush and an anti-wrap omni-wheel, which the manufacturer says picks up 99.99 % of hair. But the disclaimer on the product page states clearly: "CleanChop brush available separately." What comes in the box is a plain rubber main brush. If you have pets or long hair in the household, budget for the CleanChop brush from the outset – or go straight for the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra, which includes its detangling brush as standard.
Obstacle clearance and height
Thresholds up to 22 mm are no problem according to MOVA, and the robot itself is 103.8 mm tall. That gets it under many sofas and sideboards, but not all of them. The heise test points out a specific problem: with floating furniture mounted very low, the robot can wedge itself – a manually set no-go zone helps here, provided the robot respects it.
App and privacy
The MOVA Home app offers a redesigned dashboard showing cleaning time, area and frequency, tracks progress in a 3D map animation and includes a dark mode. Users can define their own objects and set safety distances. Worth highlighting: according to heise, privacy-critical features are disabled out of the box, and the robot supports Wi-Fi on both the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands.

What independent tests say about the MOVA P70 Pro Ultra
Unlike many new releases, the P70 Pro Ultra already has a solid base of independent hands-on tests – and they paint a considerably more nuanced picture than the specification sheet.
heise online headlines its review with "nobody washes hotter for 600 euros" and confirms the cleaning performance in principle: around 95 % of coarse particles disappear on the first pass on carpet, while fine dust such as flour usually needs a second. There is clear criticism of the navigation: missed patches while cleaning, pauses of up to 30 seconds for no apparent reason, obstacle avoidance that is not always reliable despite object detection, self-drawn map boundaries being ignored, and the risk of getting stuck under floating furniture. The mop pads also smear quickly with wet dirt according to the test and require frequent trips back to the station.
smarthomeassistent.de awards an overall score of 3.4/5.0 ("satisfactory") with a value-for-money score of 1.8/5.0 ("good") and provides measured figures: 98.3 out of 100 points on hard floors, but only 68.71 out of 100 on high-pile carpet, where mopping performance fails at 6.0. The editors name the standard plain rubber brush instead of the optional anti-tangle system as their main criticism.
User ratings paint a mixed picture: The official MOVA store shows 4.0★ – but based on a single review, which is not statistically meaningful. The Amazon.de listing (ASIN B0GVV2SRGV) reaches 4.2★ from 76 reviews. For comparison: the technically near-identical Dreame L50s Pro Ultra achieves 4.4★ from 614 reviews, and the predecessor MOVA P50 Pro Ultra 4.1★ from 1,117 reviews.

MOVA P70 Pro Ultra vs the competition
How does the P70 Pro Ultra fare against its corporate sibling from Dreame, its own predecessor and the cheaper ECOVACS?
Dreame
Dreame L50s Pro Ultra
The technical twin from the parent company: also 30,000 Pa and 100 °C mop washing, but with the DuoBrush detangling brush included as standard and 4 cm obstacle clearance.
ca. 599–659 €

MOVA
MOVA P50 Pro Ultra
The direct predecessor and the cheaper option within the family: 19,000 Pa, 75 °C mop washing, the CleanChop brush already included as standard and up to 75 days of dust collection.
ca. 429–472 €
Check price on Amazon →
ECOVACS
ECOVACS DEEBOT T80 OMNI
The opposite approach to mopping: a self-rinsing OZMO ROLLER mop roller instead of rotating pads, with a much lower suction figure at 18,000 Pa – and currently the cheapest way into a fully equipped station.
ca. 349–384 €
Check price on Amazon →Who is the MOVA P70 Pro Ultra for?
The MOVA P70 Pro Ultra suits households with mostly hard floors and low to medium-pile carpet that want hygienic hot-water mop washing without moving up to the €900 class. Anyone with pets who needs to pick up a lot of animal hair should budget for the CleanChop brush from the outset, because the anti-tangle system is otherwise incomplete. If you have a lot of high-pile carpet, or expect completely trouble-free navigation, look closely at the criticisms listed here – more expensive models with more mature software deliver more peace of mind.

FAQ about the MOVA P70 Pro Ultra
Our verdict
The MOVA P70 Pro Ultra is a remarkable value package: the 100 °C hot mop washing with TÜV-verified germ reduction and the one-hour drying cycle are effectively unavailable elsewhere at this price, and suction performance on hard floors is first class. But two points cloud the picture noticeably, and both are avoidable: the advertised anti-tangle system needs a brush that MOVA sells separately, and the navigation software visibly stumbles according to independent tests – from unexplained pauses to ignored map boundaries. If you have mostly hard floors and can live with occasional software quirks, you get a lot of technology for your money here. If you want peace of mind and a complete specification out of the box, budget the €30 premium for the corporate sibling Dreame L50s Pro Ultra.
