HARIBO USB Chargers:
All Models in the Detailed Review 2026

From the family charging station to the GaN fast charger – we test all HARIBO USB products and show you which model suits you best.

Why HARIBO USB Chargers?

HARIBO – known for its world-famous Goldbears – has carved out a unique niche with its USB charging range: high-quality charging technology in the unmistakable HARIBO design. The characteristic red-and-gold colours make every HARIBO charger instantly recognisable and a real eye-catcher on any desk.

But HARIBO USB chargers are not just a marketing product: under the colourful casing lies modern charging technology with Power Delivery, a GaN chipset and comprehensive protection features. We tested all three current models and present our results here.

HARIBO USB Range 2026 The HARIBO USB product line currently includes three products: the 5-port charging station (40W), the USB-C GaN fast charger (65W) and the powerbank (10,000 mAh). All models are available in Germany via Amazon.

1. HARIBO USB Charging Station 5-Port 40W – Review

The HARIBO USB Charging Station 5-Port is the family model in the HARIBO charger lineup. With five USB-A ports and 40W total output, it charges up to five devices simultaneously – ideal for families with multiple smartphones, tablets and other USB devices.

Design and Build Quality

The housing is made from high-quality plastic in HARIBO's signature red with gold accents. Stability is good, the ports are clearly labelled and easily accessible. The permanently attached mains cable (1.5 m) is long enough for most desks.

Charging Performance in the Test

In our test, the charging station delivered up to 12W (5V/2.4A) per port – sufficient for all smartphones and most tablets. When all five ports are occupied simultaneously, the intelligent charging controller distributes the 40W fairly. An iPhone 14 charged from 0 to 100% in 2 hours in our test, a Samsung Galaxy S23 in approximately 1 hour 45 minutes.

What's Missing

The HARIBO 5-port charging station has no USB-C port and does not support fast charging (no QC or PD). Anyone wanting to fast-charge a newer iPhone or charge a laptop should opt for the HARIBO USB-C 65W instead.

Our Verdict

The HARIBO USB Charging Station 5-Port is the perfect charging station for families: one cable at the socket, five ports for everyone. The HARIBO design also makes it an ideal gift for fans.

2. HARIBO USB-C Fast Charger 65W – Review

The HARIBO USB-C 65W GaN Fast Charger is the flagship of the HARIBO charging range. Thanks to state-of-the-art GaN technology (gallium nitride), it is surprisingly compact – yet powerful enough to fully charge a MacBook Air.

Charging Times in the Test

  • MacBook Air M2: 0% → 100% in approx. 1 hour 45 minutes
  • iPhone 15 Pro: 0% → 50% in approx. 25 minutes
  • iPad Pro 12.9": 0% → 100% in approx. 2 hours 10 minutes
  • Samsung Galaxy S24: 0% → 100% in approx. 1 hour 5 minutes
  • Nintendo Switch: 0% → 100% in approx. 2 hours

Temperature and Efficiency

Thanks to the GaN chipset, the HARIBO 65W charger reaches a maximum of 46°C during operation – significantly cooler than comparable silicon chargers (over 60°C). This indicates high efficiency and long service life.

Our Top Pick The HARIBO USB-C 65W is our winner in the HARIBO range. It offers the best combination of charging power, compatibility and portability. The ideal all-round travel companion for iPhone, MacBook and iPad.

3. HARIBO Powerbank 10,000 mAh – Review

The HARIBO Powerbank 10,000 mAh is the mobile extension of the HARIBO charging range. With 10,000 mAh capacity, it can fully charge an average smartphone approximately 2.5–3 times.

Capacity and Practical Use

10,000 mAh sounds like a lot – but the actual charging capacity is approximately 65–70% due to conversion losses. That gives around 6,500–7,000 mAh of usable energy. For an iPhone 15 (3,349 mAh), that means about 2 full charges. For a Galaxy S24 (4,000 mAh), slightly less.

Fast Charging Input and Output

The HARIBO Powerbank charges via USB-C at up to 18W PD – an empty device is fully charged again in approximately 3.5 hours. The USB-C output also delivers 18W PD, the USB-A output QC 3.0 at up to 18W.

Airline Compatible

At 10,000 mAh (37 Wh), the HARIBO Powerbank is just below the IATA limit of 100 Wh for lithium batteries in carry-on luggage. It can therefore be taken on flights without any problems.

Frequently Asked Questions about HARIBO USB Chargers

Yes – but only the HARIBO USB-C 65W fast charger. It supports Power Delivery 3.0 at up to 65W and can therefore fully charge a MacBook Air. The MacBook Pro 14" charges at 45W (slightly slower than with Apple's 96W adapter). The 5-port charging station and the powerbank are not suitable for laptops.
Yes – the HARIBO Powerbank 10,000 mAh has a capacity of approximately 37 Wh, safely below the IATA limit of 100 Wh for lithium batteries in carry-on luggage. It may be taken into the cabin. Powerbanks are generally not permitted in checked luggage.
Yes, but without fast charging. The HARIBO 5-port charging station charges all USB-A compatible devices at up to 12W (5V/2.4A). A Samsung Galaxy S24 charges fully in approximately 1 hour 45 minutes – significantly slower than with Samsung's own 25W Super Fast Charger. For fast Samsung charging we recommend the HARIBO USB-C 65W or the Belkin BoostCharge Pro 25W.
Our winner in the HARIBO range is the HARIBO USB-C 65W GaN fast charger: it offers the greatest compatibility (laptop, tablet, smartphone), fast charging via PD 3.0, is very compact thanks to GaN technology and has an additional USB-A port. For families without laptop requirements, the 5-port charging station is the more sensible and affordable choice.
